National Pie Day--January 23 ARE YOU READY???

I have been waiting all year long for the best pie ever.

Hmmm creamy/crunchy/cherries/chocolate...oh yeah and old fashion crust...but very thin to have extra room for the filling.

PIE DAY ROCKS!!!

For anyone who has a Bakers Square Restaurant nearby, they're giving a free slice of pie to every customer who dines that day (*with coupon which came in the Sunday Paper's coupon insert)

I'll take a slice of Lemon Meringue, please

Mmmm...did you say PIE?! I'd love to see what you make Stirblue. Keep us posted. I wrote down the day to make sure to bake a pie...I'll use any excuse to bake.

I think I just died and went to PIE heaven!!!! PIE PIE PIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad I'm stuck in stupid England, I don't think they will celebrate PIE day here. I will have to make a PIE in honor of PIE day! Now, to my cookbooks to plan my PIE options!

(next year I will be home in SF to celebrate PIE day more properly, yay!)

Good deal. I may have to dig out my grandma's crust recipe and make her sheet pan apple pie. Best pie I've ever had and I haven't had it in years!
