Danish Puff Pork Chops

This recipe was my Grandmothers and it is really good. The cheese and onion combined with pork gives you a great taste. Hope you enjoy this one.
Enjoy! Debbie
_____

DANISH PUFF PORK CHOPS

4 PORK CHOPS
2 tablespoon(s) BUTTER
1 EGG
1 small ONION; Grated.
1 teaspoon(s) SALT
1/4 teaspoon(s) BLACK PEPPER
1/3 cup(s) FLOUR
2/3 cup(s) MILK
1/2 cup(s) CHEDDAR CHEESE; Grated.
_____

In sauce pan melt butter stirring in flour until smooth, add milk slowly and cook until very thick.
Add slightly beaten egg and cook over low heat while beating fast.
When batter is thick, bubbly and shinny, add grated cheese, grated onions, salt and pepper.
Stir until cheese is melted and remove from heat.
Brown pork chops in fry pan with a little oil.
Turn brown side up in fry pan, season with salt and pepper and spread cheese over browned pork chops.
Fry pork chops for 5 minutes more.
Transfer to a baking sheet with low sides.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until done.
