Made some potato soup tonight..
Well, I can't really say I made it. I picked up a package of Cugino's dehydrated potato soup. I figured, well I have never had a dehydrated soup I like, but this looks OK.
Well, it's more that OK. While the potato pieces are small, they are there. The flavor is terrific and the richness is nice, especially considering there is NO cholesterol and it is also low fat. One thing that occurred to me as I was eating a small bowl(I had steak for dinner, this is for lunch tomorrow) this would make a terrific base for a chowder!!! I looked them up online and what do I read in the description--"also makes a great base for chowder..." I am surprisingly pleased to recommend Cuginos creamy potato soup!!!! Takes about 30 minutes to make.... |

Thanks Jeff - it's always good to know what is good. It does sound like a great base for chowders! The mind is racing!
