My ex-husband was the same way. I could ask him an hour after we ate a dinner I prepared all weekend what he had for dinner, "UHM?", was what I got. What a kick in the gut! But he'd remember the next day, when he was hungry. "Hey hun, is there anymore of dinner left?" He couldn't tell you what it was, but knew he didn't hate it and was hungry.

I would say that sums up my husband, too. If he likes something, he will tell me he does. If he doesn't, he won't say anything, but he will always clean his plate. I have to ask if he liked it and he'll say "It was okay." That's code for "I didn't like it." Bless his heart
