I took a look at those items you mentioned, the T-Fal set (first item) is listed at $90 in Amazon.com and it seems good to me. It is way better that the first pieces I bought for myself way back. I recommend you to stop by your local Bed, Bath and Beyond or Target, look for a similar set and check handles grip, weight and balance of the pans to verify you feel comfortable with them. It isn't good to get something inexpensive that you don't like to use.
Good luck!

Do you have any outlet stores near you? They can have good deals, but you need to know what the price was regularly somewhere else. Sometimes it's not any cheaper.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.....

Sam's Club has a 3 piece fry pan set for $25.00.

Sam's Club - Member's MarkĀ® Saute Pans - 3 pack

After that a 2.5 or 3 qt saucepot and then a 6-8 qt stock pot. These two can be bought cheap at K-mart or Wal-mart.

Check the Tramontina stockpots at Wall-Mart.
