Okay, going to have this for dinner, along with a salad, maybe some perogies sauted in carmelized onion....But, DH always likes a sauce for the fish.....anyone have a t&t easy sauce for cold fish?....Thanks in advance all you very nice DC'ers!!!!

Dill Sauce:

  • 1 English cucumber, peeled, grated, and drained for 1 hour
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup fresh dill, finely chopped
I used dried dill (much less then what's called for) and a regular cucumber, and it was delicious! Of course if it's just the two of you, then you'll want to cut the recipe in half...

yum, both sauces sound good.

i was going to suggest a dill cream sauce, but robsan beat me to it. it's a traditional norwegian thing to have dill cream sauce with cold fish.
