I see that Joan Fontaine has died. She was in her 90s. Film actress ("Rebecca" with Laurence Olivier and "Jane Eyre" with Orson Wells to name but two), sister of Olivia De Havilland and cousin of the designer of the De Havilland Mosquito aeroplane.

Always seemed to play rather wet characters IMO but she was good at it.

I just read that Tom Laughlin (of "Billy Jack" fame from the early 70's) and Ray Price, a great country singer, both passed away recently. Who's gonna fill their shoes? as George Jones lamented.

And Peter O'Toole. :(
I'd missed that. I was quite smitten with him when I was a teenager. Just right, I thought, for Lawrence of Arabia - Marlon Brando (first choice) would have been a disaster! Sadly, O'Toole was a violent lush in his private life.

Yeah, he was a lush but on screen he plays a great lush in My Favorite Year. I just ordered it from Netflix to watch again. He probably didn't have to "act"' too much.;)

At least he was a lot better looking than Justin Bieber!!!!!!!
And O'Toole could at least keep his pants up around at his waist when out in public, drunk or not.

To Mister Bieber:

I'm not saying that you're a lush. Got it?
