We have a flat roast about one & half inch thick that is labeled "Baron of Beef Roast" that weighs 4.29lbs and we are confused as to how to cook it. Online info is confusing by calling it Top Round or showing pictures of a round shaped roast, again ours is flat, please advise or direct us to a recipe. Thank you

Sounds like you have a piece of brisket. I suppose you could question the meat manager at the store where you bought it.

Assuming it's a brisket, it must be cooked low and slow with moist heat. In other words you must braise it.

I don't think you have a brisket or any other front end portion. I think that a baron is a trimmed round roasted whole, I'm guessing that you have portion of this, or a top round roast.
