This is my mom's recipe for applesauce drop cookies. I have not had them in years.

1 cup brown sugar, packed down
1 egg

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup thick applesauce

Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in egg. Add the flour alternately with the applesauce. Beat in the salt, baking soda, baking powder, nutmeg and cinnamon. Stir in the raisins.
Drop on cookie sheet and bake in 375 degree preheated oven about 10 minutes depending upon how big you make them. They spread a little.
