Burned Food when using a pressure cooker

Hi,

I have troubles canning with my pressure cooker. The food i am cooking always smells burned (and also tastes a little burned). Last time i was cooking spaghetti sauce with meat (beef, tomatos, onions), used pint jars and cooked it at 10psi for 1 hour.

I am using Weck glasses and a Presto 23quart cooker.

Is it normal that pressure cooked food has a strange odor?
