Chicken & Wild Rice Salad
One whole chicken, cook, debone, and chop
1 small or large box of Uncle Ben’s Wild Rice (or any converted Wild Rice), depending on the number you are serving
1 cup Duke’s mayonnaise or Miracle Whip
¾ - 1 cup of halved, red, seedless grapes
Cook, debone, and chop one whole chicken.
Cook 1 small or large box of Uncle Ben’s Wild Rice (or any converted Wild Rice), depending on the number you are serving.
Add 1 cup (or more, depending on personal taste) Duke’s mayonnaise or Miracle Whip.
¾ - 1 cup of halved, red, seedless grapes
Chill, at least overnight.
This is excellent in the summer served with crackers.
For those who cannot find Duke’s (also known as C. F. Sauer outside of the SC, NC, GA region) or Miracle Whip….you can use Hellmann’s (known as Best Foods west of the Mississippi). But try to find a mayo with little or NO sugar. That is one of the secrets of using Duke’s mayo.
