For most of my life, I've had a small chest-style freezer. When we moved here, I was going to buy one as soon as I needed it. The problem is that it would need to stay in the garage. Well, 8 years later and I'm fighting all of the tomato sauce, pesto, frozen herbs, etc from my garden every time I need an ice cube. The question is, stupid as it sounds, does a freezer live at temperatures that (a week ago) get to -30 (we aren't talking wind chill here). Puh-leeze do not tell me to just throw the stuff out in the yard, because we do get thaws as well!
