I made this last year and again today.
Simple, good so I figured I'd pass it on.
Very strong garlic flavor if mixing it into room temp or cool pasta
Mixing it into warm pasta or cooking it a bit definitely takes the bite out of it.

I made a pasta and broccoli with the Scape pesto.

Cooked the pasta until almost done
Tossed the already cut up broccoli pieces in with the pasta last minute or so.
Drained
Quick rinse, the put back in the pot with , added the scape pesto a little S & P , mixed and ate.

Not sure if it will freeze or not ( the pesto) so I placed a little bit in a container to test, which actually reminds me that I never checked on that stuffed mushroom that I was testing to see how it froze and reheated. Gotta go searching for it :yum:

The new link works for me too.

If you are interested, I came across a vegan recipe for garlic scape pesto that uses pumpkin seeds instead of nuts. It's in French, but Google does a really good job of translating it. There is only one word I would have changed and it's not wrong, just not optimal. This claims that it can be frozen. https://www.ricardocuisine.com/recettes/8422-pesto-a-la-fleur-d-ail

Thanks, Ill give it a shot.

I already froze and now in the process of thawing out my last batch. I figured Ill need to know if it works since ill have another 80 + Scapes to play with in a few weeks. Need to be prepared.

Just and update on the original recipe posted.
I froze and defrosted a portion and tasted it side by side of the original batch.

Good news, no difference at all.
Taste, color, consistency, freshness and potency identical.
I will harvest the rest and make a bunch of scape pesto to store for future use.

Last year I made scape picked which were good and would store fine, but not as good as the pesto, so whatever I don't eat stir fried up, ill use in the pesto
