I lived in S.D. for ten years, everywhere from Coranado Island, to North Park, to Santee, El Cajon, and Lakeside. I'd camp with my family in Red's Meadow Campground, just North of Mammoth Mountain, down in the valley for an entire month. I met my wife in El Cajon. Loved it while I was there, but I'm a northern boy who like cold much better than hot. It's the place where I first started to seriously learn to cook. Oh, those Carne Asada buritoes for the now extinct LaCotija taco stand in El Cajon.
Welcome to our little, world-wide cooking club.
