I bought these paper mini loaf pans at Walmart back awhile ago.
I went to make up some mini cakes to pass out as host/hostess gifts during this holiday season... and as I read the side of the packaging, it says "... just mix your batter, pour into our decorative oven-safe paper bake trays. Pop them into the oven and out comes fun holiday treats. Oven safe up to 250⁰F. Freezer safe."

Nothing bakes at 250⁰F, at least not properly anyways!
I'm thinking that this is a type-o?
I can't find this particular brand online to verify this...

So, my question to the group is :

Will this stand up to 350⁰F or do y'all think they'll just set on fire?

Should I give it a go?
They're an odd shape, 7" X 3.4" X 1.81"
They come with Cello bags, gift tags and Baker's Twine,
so very cute and I bought 3 packs of 6.

Opinions, thoughts, advice?

HELP!!

I've used those for baking 1Lb mini loaves of banana nut bread.

They were baked at 350 without any issues. I did put them on an air bake cookie sheet. Followed what the recipe said to do.

Give it and go. Then get more while you can :)

Munky.

I'm not going to tell you to set your oven on fire. But, me myself, I'd bake it at 350 degrees F and set my own oven on fire. I've baked parchment at 350 degrees F, and browned the paper, but still no fire.

Be brave and have your fire extinguishers at ready. Still don't set your oven on fire. The oven is a pretty safe place for a fire, if you want fire in your home. It's not close to drapes or curtains and given the option of 'in the oven' or 'in any other place' except the fire place, I'd choose, in the oven.

. . . Fahrenheit 451

I preheat my oven & stone to 550'F for pizza - which goes in, bakes on, and comes out on parchment paper. and it does not catch fire.

it crisps a bit. longer time at temp = more crisper.

Update On The Paper Loaf Pans:

I still think that these are adorable,
and they DIDN'T set on fire, YAY!

I divided my Great-Grandmother's recipe for
Gingerbread evenly between 4 of the
Paper Loaf Pans, filling them just shy of half-way.
I baked them off at 350⁰F for 30 minutes on a half sheet pan,
watching them very carefully ...

... these particular Paper Loaf Pans are NOT very rigid,
and wound up as kinda fat-boys --- they expanded their
waist-bands just a touch, IMHO anyways,
but I mean really, what did I expect at 6 for $1.97USD?

... both Mom and DH thought they looked great,
so I made sure to put one aside for us!! :yum:
