I've bought a Turkish 'salad'

it goes well in a thick pita with hummus and charcoal grilled chicken breast.
it somewhat sweet and very tasty.
without hummus it's not that appealing.

i like it so much and it reminds me childhood. the one in the picture is better quality than those usually in the shops

I like the look of the humus, nice and creamy, seems like a lighter texture than what I usually see.

Do you know what the salad consists of? It also looks interesting. I can see them together but I can't seem to taste it!

red bell peppers, onions, tomatos, parsley, oil and spices [perhaps garlic too. i'm not sure]

there are many kinds of high quality hummuses here but people buy mostly cheap low quality stuff from the supermarket..

That looks great. I actually made a very similar Turkish Salad last week. Probably a slightly different version of what you had. It was called "ACILI EZME (SPICY TURKISH SALAD EZMESI)"

nice. mibe is not spicy at all
it also has tomato paste in it and not whole tomatoes that are chopped

My wife doesn't like spicy foods, so I didn't add the hot peppers.
