Our old bread maker has finally bit the biscuit. Our new one is a 1 beater squarish pan and can do 1 1/2 or 2 lb loaf.
It came with a little recipe/instruction book but I tried 2 different recipes and they didn’t rise and came out no good.

We went back to our old recipe for 1 1/2lb loaf but wondered if you guys had any fail safe good every time go to that you use?

I usually set it on the dough setting then bake the dough ball in the oven. I can play with loaf shape that way. Round on a tray or in a loaf pan etc. Our old machine did a 3 lbs loaf so I’d even do that in a bunt pan if we’re going to my sisters for a big pot of soup or breakfast etc.

Thanks

First, make sure your yeast is fresh and active. Second, use warm water, but not too hot - around 100F.

Did the recipe from your old machine's book work?
