Homemade Peanut Butter - So Easy and So Delicious

This is the recipe I grew up with and I've never found one I like better.

Preparation:
Blend 1 cup roasted, unsalted, shelled peanuts in a food processor or blender adding just enough peanut or safflower oil to make it smooth. (1-1/2 to 3 tbsp). We always add 1/2 tsp of salt.
Add sugar or honey to taste, if desired.
If you want a chunkier butter, you can add chopped peanuts after you have made the smooth version.
Store your peanut butter in an airtight container in the refrigerator and use within 2 weeks.
This recipe makes about 1-1/2 cups.

You won't believe how fresh this tastes compared to the processed brands you buy off the shelf.

Enjoy.

Place shelled peanuts and a touch of salt in a food processor and run the darn thing until the contents look like peanut butter. Taste and add more salt as required. No oil, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated vegetable junk, or anything else needs to be added.
