I don't notice any loss of taste when I cook a roast in the PC compared to the slow cooker. And I use the same recipe.
And as far as some foods being better the next day.... it does seem the flavor is a little better, but certainly the texture is better. Chile and stews are thicker, lasagna holds together better.... if anything, the flavors might meld together from their night in the fridge, but I wouldn't say cooking a stew in 30 minutes is any less flavorful than cooking it in 3 hours. And I just made stew for the first time in my PC last week. I thought it tasted just as good as my three hour stew. And it was better the next day, but the texture stuck out in my mind.
