The evening meal - 2023, Monday, 7 August

I made Chief's stove top deep brown beans with a few changes. I used hot dogs instead of pork loin. I used miso, Worcestershire sauce, and fish sauce instead of ketchup. I use more cumin and I used black strap molasses instead of brown sugar. I served it with brown basmati rice and corn. We really enjoyed that.

I chopped the vegetables from Sunday’s sheet pan dinner and made hash with a warmed up chicken drumstick on the side.

Wegman’s no sugar added vanilla ice cream topped with walnuts and a drizzle of sugar free maple flavored syrup for afters.

We had grilled salmon filet with steamed asparagus and a cauliflower salad. Dinner is not usually this elaborate for us, but it was our 52nd anniversary and I wanted to fix something a bit special.

We had sous vide pork chops, finished on the bbq grill, FarmHouse Rice Pilaf and peas from the freezer. It was tasty!

I had stir steamed veggies with brown basmati veggie rice, a little ac vinegar to season it, and some salt substitute (potassium chloride). A frozen lemon bar with blackberry puree/jam. A small handful of dark chocolate chips.

Dinner was pasta with meat sauce and broiled zucchini seasoned with Cavender's Greek Seasoning.

Corned beef, yellow potatoes, and homemade coleslaw (oil, vinegar, brown mustard, mayo, and my house blend AP seasoning) for dinner last night.
