Dear friends,
I would appreciate your help with this inquiry which will be used to make sure I cook a nice Christmas Day lunch. I am cooking for my family and friends and I am extremely excited and nervous but also want to make sure I purchase the best possible tasting bread of turkey.
I have narrowed my search down to two breeds of turkey. These are the Norfolk Black and the Narragansett. Both will be around 8Kg finished.
I have previously eaten some Norfolk Black at a local restaurant which was a splendid gamey bird and certainly different to a frozen turkey from a supermarket!!!
My question to you is can you please advise on the difference in taste between a Norfolk Black and a Narragansett. ie. is one 'gamier' than the other or one more 'fatty etc'.
I would be very grateful for your help, this is a very important meal for me and I would like to ensure I get expert advice to make it as best as I can.
Kindest Regards
