So true. There's a whole school of thought amongst the medical community concerning the dramatic increase in childhood asthma. I think it's called the Hygiene Hypothesis, which basically says that children who live in super clean environments and have little exposure to viruses and bacteria are at greater risk for asthma because their immune systems have not been stimulated enough by exposure to "dirty things". It's interesting. I have only anecdotal evidence but my kids are exceptionally healthy and I think it's because I'm not an exceptional housekeeper. (And I did it all for them.)Actually many doctors(and myself) feel we use WAY to many anti-bacterial substances. Our bodies lose the ability to create their on anti-bodies. If you body is never exposed to a bacteria, the first time it is, it won't be able to fight it off.
