I like them all! 
These Halfmoon cookies are something of a cult favorite in Central New York.
A simple cakelike vanilla or chocolate cookie frosted on the flat bottom with half vanilla and half chocolate frosting.
I usually enjoy the chocolate half first and save the vanilla side for last.

If it's regional, it's the best! You cannot beat locally owned. If it's a franchize, it's gonna be same old same!!! Local is somewhat more expensive but it's good. The best cookie shops do not need more than one shop nor shops galore!

I should also add that local cookie shops often make personal cookies. Just give them the recipe and let them bake it for you.
