same boat gb, yup, that's us, captains courageous.
that restaurant looks good. i woulda said to start with the irish smoked salmon, but it's only smoked in "the irish tradition". it's not the tradition, but irish salmon, from extremely clean waters in and around ireland, that makes it special.
instead, if it were me, i'd order:
for appy - the smoked seafood sampler, the goat cheese cake, and a half dozen oysters on the half. (what is purified oysters?)
for the entree - the swordfish/pancetta or the haddock bouillabase looks really good. a side of spinach with garlic, and asparagus with hollondaise.
i would try to talk dw into getting a 2 or 2.5 lb steamed lobster, and we would share everything. for us, that means she gets the tail, i may get a bite, but i get the claws. dw always goes for the small legs too, saying they're the best part, especially on bigger lobsters. the back end of a butter knife works well to squeeze out the meat.
just curious, what is airline chicken? do they pull it thru a jet engine to tenderize it? and what are super jumbo shrimp? U-3's?
for wine, the suggested fume blanc looks good to go with all of the fish.
have fun man, you deserve it. and give our best to mrs. b., and your sweet baby b.. happy belated valentines.
