I think it's safe to assume that the only way most people will eat them is: 1. Ignorance - not realizing they're eating them. 2. Drunk.

Ham and Cheese Crepes - Best Appetizer Ever! Though I admit I am partial (family recipe), this has got to be the all time best appetizer. Don't let the amount of effort scare you, it's well worth it in the end. Increase the amounts for a main course dish. I GUARANTEE you everyone will love...

Yes I am a Calgarian Alix, though a transplanted one. I'm originally from Winnipeg. :rofl: I've only been in Calgary since August 2005. I'm enjoying the chinooks and warmer weather...and the Calgary Flames make for exciting hockey too. Nice to meet you!

I think I'm going to give them a try at the Stampede this year.

I know at the Calgary Stampede it usually ends up being a 'dare' as to who's willing to eat them...but I'm sure there's got to be a decent recipe out there. I may be willing to try some.....may.:sick:

These two 'delicacies' are native to the hugely popular Calgary Stampede (which is coming up in a few months). And yes, people eat them both!! This will be my first time attending the Stampede - has anybody tried either of these?

Thanks for the reply velochic. Most of the them have had spinach, which I've found adds a ton of flavor. I guess I'm looking to experiment a bit (as long as that doesn't include tossing out all the meat). :rolleyes:
