    How about grits with salt and pepper? I like powdered boullion in a cup of hot water and low salt crackers. A plain baked potato might be good. I always keep Power Aide on hand. It has the best mix of minerals. Candied ginger is also good for your stomach. I know how you feel.

    I use parsley and thyme when cooking the broth. I like to add a splash of seasoned wine vinegar to my dish( white wine vinegar with red chilies and salt and onion. We have been living on soup this winter because it is so cold.

    I like tapioca starch because it cooks clear. I tried arrowroot and the sauce was slimy (stringy). Tapioca starch can be found in oriental groceries. I also use corn starch.

    My sister makes her spaghetti sauce and meat balls in a large electric roaster. If you don't have one maybe one of your friends does. It is great for transporting the sauce too. Good luck
