Al core thickness - any brand info?

No prob. I know I found it very valuable! BTW, when I asked All-Clad about their core thicknesses in their fully-clad lines, they told me that was not available to consumers. ... What a joke. In the end, I went back to my favorite ...nonstick cookware. However for SS, in my humble opinion...

Al core thickness - any brand info?

Ok. I read the article at http://forums.egullet.com/index.php?showtopic=25717 . The conclusion fit my cooking well. It sounds like I need to know the aluminum or copper core thicknesses for a true comparsion of cookware. Do you know the thickness, for any brand, that I can use for...

    WearEver pans

BubbaGourmet I almost forgot. What would YOU recommend? You mentioned that you liked the Revere. I have a smooth-top range & have heard not to use copper-bottom pans. Your opinion? Thanks in advance! Lori

    WearEver pans

Thanks! That does help since it confirms what I've found. Now I'm leaning toward buying a lesser expensive set & adding an All-Clad Sauce pan. For my cooking, it seems that's the only pan I'd really need to have Al up the sides & not simply on the base. Thanks again.

    WearEver pans

Hi all. I'm still trying to decide which pans to buy next. I'm still leaning toward a SS set with 1 NS frypan. Anyway, does anyone have experience with WearEver pans? They seem to have the same benefits as higher end lines: - Aluminum base tri-ply disk (although not up sides) - NS frypan is...

Mashed Potatoes - can you freeze them?

Actually, it's rather supported in many OAMC groups. I've cooked mashed potatoes, measured them in cupcake tins, & froze as individual servings. Now I use a vacuum sealer too, but even before that it worked fine. I throw what I need into the microwave, stir, & sometimes add a little milk. So...

If you could buy any brand cookware...Stainless or Nonstick?

Ok. I'm looking for new cookware & feel lost on what choice to make. #1 - Stainless steel vs. nonstick (I'm a big low-fat, non-stick cookware fan, but wonder about getting SS & only one NS frypan) #2 - Which brand to buy??? Help! Lori

    Scanpan cookware

There are some ladies who just RAVE about how wonderful Scanpan is (on another forum). The threads I was following were more about their nonstick lines than the SS lines though, so I'm not sure what they'd say about that. I'd have to look into Scanpan's site a bit more myself. Does the SS set...

    Recipe Software...anyone have a favorite?

I have the Advantage Cooking software & love it. It's based on the MS Access platform. There is a free demo version @ www.30daygourmet.com It was intended for OAMC. I really like selecting the recipes that I plan to cook (OAMC or not) & then printing my grocery list **BY AISLE**. I was...
