do you like your chargrill? i ended up adding a grill to the front of mine. Thats what I added. I called someone thats been on BBQ Pitmaster and they told me they never used it. They used it to store wood. So I never got it but ended up building one but bigger and more to the same size as the...
I made a tri tip tonight. I added some garlic powder, onion powered, black pepper and salt and it turn out good, I know Santa Maria Tri Tip is garlic, salt and pepper and I did something close. I know some use white pepper to get that purple cow.
One of my favorites is a seasoning they use for prime rib with rosemary, salt and garlic. Im looking to find a good one with garlic, pepper salt. One I can use that will give it good flavor for sandwiches. I made tri-tip last week and everyone loved it but I was using a steak seasoning. I want...
I got the best french fry at cooking them at 325 first and then cooking them for one minute at 375. I was going to switch to peanut oil until I tried that way. They made good crispy fries. Im sure peanut oil would be much better.
I started a BBQ booth this pass week and Im still trying to perfect my french fries. I bought two FryMaster deep Fryers. My goal was to use one to cook it once and the second to cook it twice. Ive tried it so many ways and can only get them a little crispy.
Does anyone here have experience...
I'm in California so I'm guessing it would be illegal to drive down the road with pit with hot coals. I would think if I got pulled over that would be a ticket. Not sure.
I've been bbqing as a hobby for a long time. I've always enjoyed cooking. I'm about to open a new door in 2014 of vending bbq and if all goes well I would be successful catering. I bought me a Lang 84 with a warmer. I've cook on small smokers but never on a big one so I need to learn fast when...
Tacos Al Pastor are my favorite Tacos. What Recipe and cooking method did you use? Ive tried to make them at home but never on the BBQ. Ive made them good but never like when they cook them on a vertical rotisserie. I would love to make tacos at home like you buy when they cook on a rotisserie.
I would only want to use the bbq to re heat meats. I would not want to use a crock pot. I think I'm going to have to cook some meat and throw it in a cooler and wait for it to be cold and re heat it and compare it to fresh. Fresh is the way to go but timing is everything. This event you have...
If you had to serve food Friday, Saturday and Sunday and you expected to be busy how would you always have enough food. Would your smoker be cooking food non stop from Thursday through Sunday. I've smoke meat from a webber and been up all night. My idea is to buy a Lang smoker. I've watch videos...
Thanks for the information. So far Lang is what I plan to buy. Even when I cook on my weber I stay up half the night. I notice in one of the videos that he keeps feeding the chamber wood before he starts to cook to get lots of coals. Not sure if that helps with long cooks. I can't see being up...
I've been smoking for a while and Im going to jump into a big trailer smoker and Im looking at buying a 84 Lang Smoker. Do any of you have one and can share pictures and your experience. Right now I don't have a clue about Lang Smokers other than they use whole wood. They say they hold the...
