My choice over which pressure cooker to buy was part of a bigger decision. I am getting rid or all plastic, aluminum and non-stick coated cookware in my kitchen. I even gave away my microwave to charity and replaced it with a mid-size convection oven (about $80).

You could use a Pressure cooker with an trivet insert. The meals would be moist with a min loss of nutrients.
I'm betting you had one of the older Pressure Cookers? I'm using a new 4 quart with 3 or 4 levels of safety. I love it! I must use it at least 4 times a week. Prefect brown rice in 15 mins - thank you Pressure Cooker.

I just remembered a new Slow Cooker product on the market, well new to me anyway. I think its made by Hamilton Beach. Its a crock pot that comes with 3 different bowl sizes. And I think it also had the drop back to warm mode via a timer, but you'll have to confirm that.

Thinking a bit more about this, why not do soimething really yummy. How about Beef Bourguignon or Beef Montparnasse. If you use a Pressure Cooker I have the recipes --- if not a net search will find what you need to know.
Marinate in teriyaki sauce and Kabob. Cut strips instead of a stew meat cut and slice strips against the grain. I'll even come over and help you eat them... anytime :) I have a marinade that has orange and pineapple juice with teriyaki and a little honey and diced green onions that people fight...
Being a Pressure Cooker freak. I have to say I perfer a Pressure Cooker for most things. Last night I had a great Pot Roast in 55 minutes. Probably could have done it in 40 minutes, but I almost always do the natural release method. As for Slow cookers, I'll keep mine thank you :) Slow Cookers...
