    Tuna Napolitana

I had an email saying you had posted, so I responded in a timely fashion! I live in SE England, about 30 minutes outside of London. What about you? How come you're emigrating? That must be really cool - when are you off?

    Tuna Napolitana

Hey olthomas - Unfortunately I never really found a recipe. I didn't try too hard though! I love the Schwartz Tuna neoplitan! It's so easy and quick, great meal for those nights when you've had a long day or don't have much time. I think Snoop Puss was just saying that the packet sauces in...

    Cooking chicken drumsticks

I have 4 left over from a BBQ - that are uncooked. I was thinking about doing the following: - Heating an oven dish in an oven. - Rubbing oil on the chicken, and putting lots of salt and pepper over them. - Add these to oven dish - Then add some freshly chopped basil to it and maybe some...

    Ideas for cod fillet

Do you think Marjoram, basil, or mixed herbs would go well with the fish. That's the only spices I have at the moment. Just need to decide on whether to have rice or potatoes!

    Ideas for cod fillet

Hello everybody. I bought some frozen cod fillets at the weekend. Not sure how to cook them though. I had an idea of roasting them in chopped tomatoes for about 20 minutes, or do you think that is too much? 2 main points: - MUST be healthy, i.e. no fats, or sugars - should be easy and quick...

    Roasting vegetables

It is carrots sliced long ways. Brocolli and Cauliflower. I may just boil them as I'd hate the lamb to be ready and have half cooked vegetables!

    Roasting vegetables

How long do vegetables take to cook in the oven. Say on 200C (390F) and on the middle-lower shelf? Just wondering as I am cooking lamb tomorrow in the oven, and want to roast the veg too. Thanks everyone.

    Dessert after lamb dish

That's a great idea doing those little mousse things. It says to strain the mixture through a metal seive, I don't have one of these, so is there a way of either skipping this, or using some other method. Is it even needed? There will be no lumps in it or anything.

    Dessert after lamb dish

I was watching tv last night and had an idea/well copied the recipe I seen. It was: Bits of bread cut out in circles. Then dip these in a coole (coolay - not sure what that is), then cut strawberries. You then, stack this up: Bread on the bottom, strawberries, some more bread, then some...

    Help: Rack of lamb

What ratio of bits/juice from the lamb do you add with the wine. Also do you cook it together for a bit? I.e.: - take lamb out of oven dish - add wine to oven dish - stir around - cook in oven for 10 mins? Or what? Do you think it would be OK to just add the red wine to the lamb juice...

    Tuna Napolitana

Didn't think this really should go in the FISH section, so put it here instead. Does anyone know how to make this. I bought a packet of it a while ago and really liked it. It was dried powder, that you added milk too, and some tuna, and it made a great sauce for some pasta. However, I can't...

    Help: Rack of lamb

Thanks for the help. Not even sure what wine to pick. That's a red wine then? If so, it sounds good. Not sure abuot what veg to cook. Maybe, some carrots, brocolli and green beans or something. I've got big worries about the gravy. The lamb can't go that wrong really, just stick it in the...

    Dessert after lamb dish

On saturday I am cooking for myself, my gf and her parents. I am cooking a starter, and lamb as the main course. Last time I cooked for people (different people) I did some brownies with ice cream and chocolate sauce. They were quite nice. I may use these again, but was wondering what other...

    Help: Rack of lamb

You can buy stock cubes for lamb in the supermarket - I seen them earlier. Not sure if there would be enough juice from the meet to go around. I was planning on cooking the vegetables with the lamb as well, so maybe that would help contribue to the sauce. Do you think any garlic thrown over...

    Help: Rack of lamb

For the lamb I'm going to make a mixture of: Breadcrumbs, 2 cloves of garlic, crushed/juice of a lemon, and pepper. I will spread some mustard over the lamb, and press the mixture on top of it. Still not sure about the gravy though. Maybe I should just use a lamb stock cube. 2 racks of...

    Help: Rack of lamb

I'm cooking on saturday night for myself, my GF and her parents. I'm quite new to cooking and only know a few recipes, but I'm going to attempt to do a rack of lamb. I was going to use 1 and a half racks of lamb. That would equal 12 cutlets, which would mean about 3 each - does that sound OK...

$1000 for a set of cookware - can this be justified?

Why so much for some cooking equipment. My pots cost about $50 (about £25) for 4 pots. They are non-stick all have lids, and have so far lasted 1 year.

    Herbs: basil, parsley, etc..

hmm, I was considering growing some this year in some pots. I've never done this before, so it may be quite fun, even if I don't use them much, still be nice to grow them. I have a friend who is going to grow his own tomatoes.

    Idea for a recipe?

I do have some majoram - so I'll use that instead. I did think about the tomatoes, as it is a long time for them. Maybe I'll do this: chicken, veg, garlic, onions, potatoes in the oven dish, cooking. After about 20 mins or when it's cooked a bit, add the tomatoes. Oh, and yes, I'll cut the...

    Idea for a recipe?

I don't have any - but I'll see if I can buy some. Yea, sounds good now. Chicken breast, tomatoe chunks from the tin, some veg, onions, garlic, basil, pepper, salt, roasted for 45 minutes-1 hour, not sure how long it'll take though
