    Able to freeze shortbread?

    OK...Will freezing interfere with the melding of the flavors? My shortbread (butter, sugar, flour) gets better with age. Recipe says it will last 6 weeks. Longest we have been able to hide them is a month. It is humid here even with the drought.

    Want to substitute buttermilk for whole milk....

    Yes, I do want to use buttermilk. I only have skim & buttermilk in the frig. I checked out a few recipes with buttermilk & they all call for bpowder and bsoda. I give it a shot subbing buttermilk as the only change. Thank you for your ideas. donna Sorry for posting in the wrong topic.
