    How To Shrink Your Stomach

The Web MD article is based on what Dr. Moyad says. I'm curious to know what other doctors say about whether or not the stomach muscle can shrink if you are an adult. I know people who were very sick and couldn't eat much for a while. After they were well, they were unable to hold much food...

    How To Shrink Your Stomach

The stomach is a muscle. If you eat more, it stretches. If you eat less, over time it contracts. As I said, this isn't for people who only eat 'healthy food', unless someone can come up with some single-serving meals that are 300 calories or less, and would fill a person up for at least 3...

    How To Shrink Your Stomach

Out of curiosity, I looked online to find out how people are shrinking their stomach so that they eat less. Looks like they are eating 300 calories every 3 hours. So to lose weight, if someone wanted to consume 1500 calories per day, they would eat 5 times a day. Five times might sound like a...

No, but you could if you wanted. I usually add the salt to the pasta sauce.

    Pasta Boat

This is one of those gadgets I use almost daily. I bought it when they first came out several years ago and have loved it ever since. You just throw in a specific amount of pasta (you can make a lot of pasta at one time, or just 2 servings), fill with water to a specific line and nuke for a...

    Air Fryer help

Sorry for the double post, but I forgot to answer this question. If you get smoke, the temperature is probably too high. I cook burgers at 320 degrees, and turn it over once or twice during cook time. I use the lower heat for things like burgers that start out raw and have to be cooked well...

    Pressure Cooker/Slow Cooker/Crock Pot-Forum

I agree that slow cookers cook the flavor out of foods, that is why I rarely used mine until I discovered a way to make it work well for me. Whether it is a roast, pork chops, chicken or what have you, in the crock pot I stir 2 teaspoons of salt into 2 cups of water, then add the meat...

    Air Fryer help

I have an air fryer and use it every day, it lives on the kitchen counter. I do cook hamburgers in it and they taste great, as long as you don't smash the juice out of them with the spatula while cooking, they come out extra juicy. When I want to make something with crumbled hamburger, I make...

Am I allowed to post a link to one of the news articles about this?

    Fruit/Veggies to go up 300%

It was on the news today that the bad weather has affected so many crops that all asparagus crops have been ruined, all fruits and vegetables have been affected except apples, onions and potatoes. Prices will be going up by 300%, and some have already raised their prices.

Cookbook made with HTML or other?

Thanks, I'll check it out. I took a look at the Help file in my word processor to see what it could do. Since it can do a lot of the things that you can do with HTML, it looks to me like a word processor is basically a HTML editor.

Cookbook made with HTML or other?

I don't have a lot of experience with word processors, can you do an index with links to other documents, as you can with HTML? Also, can you insert an image and have text running alongside the image, or can you only place text above and below the image?

Cookbook made with HTML or other?

Microsoft wants a lot for their Microsoft Office, so I don't use Word. My computer had Works on it, but when that crashed, the new computer had a different word processor on it and it wouldn't open Works documents, so all that typing was wasted. I didn't want to use the new word processor...

    I'm flabbergasted

Fried Corn 6 ears corn 2 tablespoons bacon drippings or butter 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons sugar 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Slice the corn from the cob. To get the 'pulp' from the cobs, scrape each cob (downward) with the edge of the knife. Heat the drippings or butter in a heavy skillet...

    I'm flabbergasted

The truth is this scalloped corn recipe quest has taught me that (in my humble opinion) there is no way to beat fried corn, and that is one dish I already know how to make.

    I'm flabbergasted

I decided to bite the bullet and do the scalloped corn today because tomorrow I want to make a pot of pinto beans, some fried potatoes and cornbread. The verdict on the recipe below is that it isn't runny like most of the other recipes I tried, it tastes pretty good, it uses frozen corn instead...

    Sick of Leafing Through Recipes

You have a stack of cookbooks, a pile of recipe cards, clipped recipes, ones printed from the web. Some are old standbys, some you want to try some day, and there are lots of recipes in each cookbook that you know you will never use. When you want to find a new dish to make or need to look for...

    I want a Cho-Cho

I did some research on the web today and according to lots of people, this is the recipe that comes closest to the original Cho Cho. Cho Cho (Recipe by Rich Creator) 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream 3 tablespoons Carnation Chocolate Malted Milk powder 1 tablespoon Carnation Original Malted Milk...

    I'm flabbergasted

I made stewed tomatoes with lunch, they were just like I remembered, and brought back old memories for my DH. Instead of trying to adlib every time I make these, I wrote down the recipe. I am posting it in case anyone is interested. I used wheat sandwich bread, you can use white. If you use...

    Remember this candy?

Doubt if I am supposed to double-post here, but I agree with luckytrim that the candy had cup in the name, so I went to the websites that DaveSoMD suggested and did a search. They didn't come up, but I'm not surprised because of the container and spoon being made of metal, no longer cost...
