    Stuffed Eggplant

Mmmm, it was a total success! I ended up curing it for about 4 hours, and yeah it looked all brown and stuff. Here's the recipe, I'll post pictures later, but I didn't make it look pretty or anything. 3 medium-sized eggplants, sliced in half lengthwise salt 1/2C + 3T extra virgin olive oil 3...

    Stuffed Eggplant

I mean, if I did the salt thing this morning and then put it in the fridge until this evening would the eggplants be ruined?

    Stuffed Eggplant

I'm making Turkish Stuffed Eggplant for dinner tonight, and the recipe calls for me to put some deep cuts in the eggplant halves and put salt on it and then let it drain for an hour. If I prep them this morning, would it ruin the eggplants?

Hi! New here, with a question about curry

Ooooh, that's really interesting! I did taste it, and I added more miso and tasted it again. I don't quite know why it tasted okay then, but a little weak in a bowl.

    Old Clothes !

You know, my school cafeteria used to serve that, and I never ate it because "old clothes" doesn't sound very appealing. It was shredded beef with black beans, but i just couldn't over the name... *shudder*

Hi! New here, with a question about curry

The miso ramen was a success! The only criticism I had with it was I had to extend the recipe to serve six so it turned out a bit weak, because I guess it's not just tripling the recipe, you have to triple it PLUS some. For next time, I'll add more ginger and miso. And probably some more sake...

I go to Ren Faires, too, and I have always wanted to start LARPing. It's just nice to see someone as interested as I am. :D

    :O I... I love you now.

What are your thoughts on the hardcore gaming community?

My thoughts are some people need games in order to balance their lives. Just so long as they aren't breaking the balance and spending all or most of their time gaming, I think it can be healthy. It improves hand/eye coordination. As for the "gaming community" I don't count myself among that...

Hi! New here, with a question about curry

Awesome! That's making my mouth water just thinking about it. Why is the meat left to go cold, though? I'm very new to cooking on my own, so I'll probably have a lot of dumb questions... I'll make sure to look out for that.

Hi! New here, with a question about curry

You don't sound pompous at all, and in fact I'm intrigued. I'm always looking for ways to make my cooking better, so I would love it if you could give me some more pointers. No, no custom motorcycles for me. You mention kelp and seaweed interchangeably... would Nori work?

What's the last movie you watched?

I think it was... Tangled. But I've been watching a lot of TV shows on netflix lately, so I get them mixed up. I watch Lie to Me, Sanctuary, The Dresden Files, Mushi-shi, D. Grey-Man, Kaze no Stigma, Dead Like Me and some others I can't remember.

    Dry Coconut Curry

Sounds amazing! I've got to try this! I love how everywhere I've gone, the mixture for the curry paste is a little different.

Hi! New here, with a question about curry

Oh, One quick question about the the miso--the recipe calls for kelp, but I'm wondering if there's a substitute. Here's how they use it: Boil kelp and ginger to make the broth, then remove both ingredients and pour over noodles. I'm wondering if I can use consomme of some sort. Fish paste...

Hi! New here, with a question about curry

What is galanga? I've heard that used fairly interchangeably with ginger. Sure, I'll post the results of the experiments when I get the chance to make it :D Right now, I just got the ingredients to make vegetarian miso ramen, so that's my next project.
