Since it's cooling off (a little) and I love soup, I made a pot of Lentil Vegetable soup today. It's gently simmering on the stove and smells so good. Will probably have a slice of toasted sourdough with it.

What's on your plate? :chef:

Whew. Weather here is supposed to cool off with lower humidity starting tomorrow, but for now, it's not soup weather. We'll have leftovers and salads.

Nice day here, light tea last night, so something a bit more substantial tonight.
Chicken breast stuffed with ham n cheese. Kumara chips. ( sweet potatoe)
Some sort of sauce, veges. Try and get a pic later.

Dinner of leftovers will be early as SC will be at Temple tonight for the Eve of Yom Kippur.
It was actually chilly in the house when I got up this morning. Fall must be on the way. Sigh.

I had lunch at Whataburger, so I'll keep it light tonight, and probably just graze. For those not familiar, Whataburger is a Texas institution.

I don't think I'll ever tire of whole grained bread with a little mayo and thick fresh tomato slices from the garden with pepper and a little salt.
Garlic buttered potatoes (the small ones from harvest) with parsley, smashed onto a sheet pan, baked until it starts crisping up.

Guys are eating chicken enchiladas with sour cream and tomatoes chopped on top.
MMMMM tomatoes.

Moussaka and a salad.

SIL is traveling this week, so I try to make a dinner or two for our daughter when he's away. Like lasagna, moussaka is easy to split into two smaller dishes. I peeled the eggplant for daughter's dish so the little ones wouldn't have any issues with choking on the skins. Our 10 month old granddaughter won't eat anything but real food.

I had yogurt for breakfast, no lunch and for early dinner corned beef, potatoes and cabbage. I may have a bean and cheese burrito.

Left early for an appointment..had a bit of time to make some egg rolls..pork...bok choy and fried basmati

I like that "rose" on the plate, Rock! The rest looks good, too.

I made pork tenderloin medallions with a shallot-blackberry sauce, a farro-and-tomato "salad" with crispy capers, and the ubiquitous tossed salad (heavy on the olives).
The farro-tomato dish was a new one; it called for frying out the parsley leaves, too. I had too many other things going on, so fried up just the capers. Raw, the amount of parsley was a lot of parsley. I'll try them crisped up next time.

That's right, GG. If I create the original post on the laptop and post, then try to edit the post using my phone so I can ad a photo from my phone gallery, it doesn't work. Typing the entire post on the phone keyboard is so much "fun". And I just haven't bothered trying to figuring why I still can't get the photos to upload to Dropbox even though the phone is synced to my account.

You know what I've decided? I'll post when I post, then just add the pic in a second post. Not gonna sweat it anymore. Life's too short. [emoji6]
