Friday, Dec. 11/2015. What's cooking?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that enjoys cooking.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I got my goddaughter to eat cauliflower. Brush those little florets with BBQ sauce, wrap them with bacon (just a full turn), skewer the bacon onto the florets with cut wooden skewers and turn until the bacon is a little crispy.

Serve with corn on the cob and fried chicken. Can you hear the arteries clogging?

I came home from the knee specialist who told me to rest it as much as possible as he has not ruled out blood clot or a faulty plate in the replacement knee, to slam the foot of that same leg into a box of printer paper and fracturing at least one, maybe two toes.

So, Kay came over and fed the fur kids and made a great tortellini with garlic cream sauce. She has not only learned my recipe but surpassed it! It is so good to have someone around who has the same passion for food that I do....TB does, but his passion mostly going into the eating, not the preparing!

LP, do you ever feel like some days, if it weren't for bad luck you wouldn't have any? :( Hope your poor tootsies feel better soon. :flowers:

I had bought radicchio for a particular salad I was going to make for Thanksgiving, then didn't. Have to use it up, so I tossed a few chopped leaves into each of our salads. Question: will it become less bitter if I saute it? It's a bit too too sharp for our "tender" taste buds.

Along with the salads, I sauteed chicken chunks with mushrooms in brown butter and sage, then finished off with white wine and more butter. Quick-blanched asparagus on the side with a generous snowfall of Parmesan cheese.

And now for my not-as-good-as-Joey's-picture, here is my proof:

Gah! LP! I'm sending you a big roll of bubble wrap, please lie on the floor and roll yourself in it. Tape up the bottom.

Hi Greg, nice to see you!

Thanks for missing me! :)

I've been doing a bunch of Internet stuff, but part of it was lowering my Internet profile (I run maybe a dozen Internet websites, but just phased out a server and several sites, so I will have more free time.)

Was going to cook something interesting tonight (now a day later than the topic) but Lean Cuisine instead.

I aspire to cook something good tomorrow the 13th so I hope you'll see my tomorrow post in the "tonight's menu" section. Unless my buddy comes out for dinner (we're getting together in the next few days for a restaurant dinner), but next up on my cooking menu is some form of Thai or Indian chicken thighs, either will go well with white rice.

Too damned bad that I've never found any good home recipe for naan bread. Gotta get a tandoor!

Look at your pretty Christmas plates :) ?

Thanks, GG! Pfaltzgraff, bought on sale. I like to pull them out around Thanksgiving, then I don't put them away until the snow starts to melt. I have more sets of dinnerware than any normal person needs. Then again, I'm not normal. :ROFLMAO:

I'm making fettuccine with chicken, side of Green beans and red wine. ?
