Hi all

Thanks for checking out my post on how to make Beef Potjiekos. So without further-a-do…lets get cooking…:chef:

First of all…get all your ingredients ready…

Ingredients

- 2KG Stewing Beef
- Any veggies that you like…I like to use the McCain mix vegetables that our Supermarkets sell
- One large onion
- BBQ spice and black pepper to taste
- Olive oil or whichever oil you prefer
- 15 Medium potatoes cut in half
- Beef and Brown Onion Stewing Soup
- 1L Water

How to prepare

Preheat pot for at least 15minutes then add your chopped onion. Wait until your onion is transparent then add your BBQ spice and black pepper.
Now add your Beef into the pot and cook until meat is leaving the bone…usually takes up to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Now you can add your potatoes (washed, skinned or unskinned). You can also add your veggies as this is also a hard ingredient to cook.
After all your ingredients is in you then can mix your Beef and brown onion stewing soup with your water and pour into your pot.
Close the pot and let it cook for an hour to an hour and a half.

This will serve up to 20 people…
This is a very famous South African dish…like we say here “Local is lekker…”:D

Enjoy!!!:yum:

Hi Mimz. Your beef stew recipe looks good. Can't say I know 20 people for dinner. Actually I do. Relatives. And I'd be pleased to serve this. One thing, is, when you turn the heat down and let it simmer for several hours, it gives the house a nice smell in anticipation of a good dinner. A bonus.

Thanks for sharing.
