We were out car shopping so and DH had to drive to Arlington VA tonight for an 8am appt. When we got home with the "new" car, I quick threw together some pasta and tomato sauce.

Not sure what to call it but I was beat after a long day so I smeared some cold meat sauce on a split baguette, topped it with mozzerella and provolone and baked it until golden brown. Had that with a salad.

Bitter cold wind today...leek and potato soup on the wood cookstove. We're all proud of ourselves because we got them dug before the first hard freeze. Usually doesn't happen that way....

It was dinner with friends night. We were celebrating one friend's birthday, so we went to her favorite seafood place, Bonefish Grill. I wasn't very hungry. Another friend ordered pot stickers for the table, I ordered corn and crab chowder, and a couple slices of bread with herbed oil filled me up.

Chicken enchiladas (tomatillo sauce) and a take off of re-fried beans, using black beans.
