I'm thinking YT that it would be better to go with the orange zest and have the Cointreau (or whichever) on the side with the recipe that Jet's making!! LOL

IMO neither orange zest or orange liqueur tastes anything at all like orange flower water.

Orange flower water is delicate and perfum-ie.

If it's a key ingredient in your recipe, I'd suggest hunting some down or making something else.

Here is the recipe:

Belila
  • 1 cup wheat berries
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 T honey
  • 1/2 t cinnamon
  • 1/4 t nutmeg
  • 1/2 t vanilla
  • 1 T orange flower water
  • 1 apple
Do you think the lack of the orange flower water would cause a significant impact?

You can also use rose water instead of orange flower water. Rose water may be easier to find.

I agree that you could use rose flower water.

With the spices and all, the flower water is going to be a background note anyway.
