Hello I wasn't sure where to post this. Does anyone have a good aebleskiver recipe?

Aebleskiver's made this time of the year will not taste like the Advent Danish Pastries made for the holidays. But you should enjoy them just as well.

This is a typical recipe that you will find interesting in the making:

Aebleskiver

This is my great grandma's recipe...she came from Denmark.

2 C Buttermilk
2 C Flour
3 Eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 T sugar

Beat egg yolks; add sugar, salt, milk, flour, soda, and baking powder (dry ingredients sifted together). Add stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in butter in a Monk's pan (Aebleskivepande). When half baked, turn with fork and finish baking. Roll in sugar.

May add jelly to center if desired.

Thanks for all the recipes. I know the one I had used buttermilk so these will be great.

Stirblue you are so wrong. Aebleskiver's any time of year are great. Fill them with some applesauce serve with melted butter and syrup. MMMMMM
