I know it's late, but if any of you are looking for last-minute cranberry sauce recipes, the one I made earlier today is amazing! The balance of sweetness and tartness is just right.

Orange-Cranberry Sauce

1 1/2 cups orange marmalade
2/3 cup orange juice
1 cinnamon stick, broken in half
12 ounces fresh cranberries
1 t corn starch
1 T honey
fresh grated nutmeg to taste (optional)

Mix marmalade, juice, and cinnamon stick in a saucepan; bring to boil.

Add cranberries and return to boil.

Lower heat to simmer sauce until cranberries pop and thicken, about 8-10 minutes. While sauce is simmering, add corn starch and honey. Amounts can be adjusted based on desired thickness and sweetness of your sauce.

Add grated nutmeg if desired, then remove from heat.

Cool and store or serve! :chef:

That sounds wonderful, Cherry! I bet it would be delicious leftover on breakfast things, too, e.g. English muffins, pancakes, biscuits, crepes!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Lee

Really nice recipe. Thank you CherryRed. And yes it is very tasty on English muffins and fruit muffins. I cut down on the honey to reduce the sweetness.
