Over the last 1/2 year, or so, I have struggled to lose about 30 pounds. Along the way I became mindful of the importance of keeping track of exactly what I am consuming. Being new to this forum, there may be a similar thread on this topic. But I did find a site that is very useful in tracking the caloric and nutritional content of the foods I prepare at home. Calorie Count Recipe Analysis

I also learned that when I dine out, even though the food is fantastic, (usually) I am at the mercy of the chef(s) when it comes to the healthfulness of the dishes they prepare.

I have learned a few tricks about proper diet over the years such as limiting salt, and calories and assuring that I get the proper nutrients. I was wondering if I could hear from others at this site about what they do to see that the meals they prepare are healthy.

P.S. Ignore that avatar under my name to the left of this post, please!
