Wooden Bowls With Stickers

I purchased some wooden salad bowls and can't get the stickers off. They are on the eating surface otherwise I would use Goo-Gone. Any Ideas.

Depending on the type of glue, here are two proven suggestions:

Heat the sticker using a hair blow dryer and then gently scrap and peel using only your fingernail.
Soaking with rubbing alcohol loosens some types of glue.

In both cases, use a plastic scrub pad and hot, soapy water to remove any remaining traces.

You might try food grade mineral oil instead of goo gone. It works the same way and won't harm the wood or the eater.

This is what I do when I get that kind of problem and it's effective for me Give it a try!

I hate when store do that. Absolutely cannot stand it. Evn when stickers on the outside.

Peanut Butter

I know you asked this a long time ago, but I just joined and wanted to tell you that peanut butter works amazing on any type of adhesive sticker. It is always handy and safe to use. Just rub some on the sticker and let it set for a little while. I believe the oil in it breaks down the adhesive. This would have worked really well for your wooden bowls. Once I learned this I use it all the time on kitchen items and elsewhere. GooGone can be so caustic and harsh.

Thanks! I will try it. One bowl refused to give up the adhesive. Almost like the wood absorbed it.
