ISO help/advice baking leeks

I've never baked leeks, as far as I remember. Can I bake them in the oven with just salt, pepper and butter. Would it taste good?

I sauteed them with olive oil and butter, pepper, herbs and sea salt. At the end, I added some grated cheese. Quite good, life can be so simple sometimes....
