I love Tahini. It's tasty, healthy and easy to prepare.

Tahini (Middle Eastern sesame paste), about a cup
Crushed garlic, about two cloves
Lemon juice from one lemon
Salt
Water

Exact amounts - according to your own taste.
Put tahini first, then add garlic, lemon and salt. Add a bit of water and mix. Add more water and mix until you get nice smooth dip.

Great as is with pita bread and also wonderful as salad dressing.

well, that's interesting....I was not familiar with eating the tahini with out the garbanzos. I bet it would be good as a salad dressing..thanks

Oh yes, around the middle east tahini dip is served separately, many time side by side with Hummus (which is made of chickpeas and tahini).

That is interesting. What kind of salad would you toss it with? Maybe spinach?
Usually with any variant of mixed vegetables salad - tomato, cucumber, red pepper, green onion, parsley...
Tahini does go well with spinach though, so using it with spinach salad sounds like a good idea.

I love tahini, I use it instead of peanut butter, w/ jelly or with honey, on bread. Never thought of making a salad dressing out of it!! Sounds great thanks!!
