Like His Mother

He didn't like the casserole
And he didn't like my cake.
He said my biscuits were too hard...
Not like his mother used to make.

I didn't perk the coffee right
He didn't like the stew,
I didn't mend his socks
The way his mother used to do.

I pondered for an answer
I was looking for a clue.
Then I turned around and smacked him...

Like his MAMA used to do!

Very cute! Thanks for that! Lucky for me, my m-i-l never cooked (but I still have several reasons to smack).

When my brother-in-law first got married he made the mistake of saying that the chicken his wife Linda had made was not the way his mother made it. Linda said, fine. So she took his plate and threw it in the garbage can. He never said that again.
