Since I am currently in between books, I think I'll just stick to reading your posts for now. Love a good drama! Maybe throw in a little mystery, mayhem....

From the sound of things, I don't think you'll have to add any mayhem. I think it'll happen naturally.

LOL Vera I hope you are hanging in there... I remember what home was like with an impending a visit from my grandmother.... whew... and afterward...

Thank god my parents have stopped the cycle... they barely visit me at all if they do they will briefly enter my house.. declare it "nice" (a lie) and then will want to go out to dinner and they always stay in hotels or go home...

Good Luck...

I was the miscreant responsible for the sited OhNo thread... oh well

I've been following this thread since "back in the day" when it was entitled "she'll be comin' round the mountain".

There was a point in the fracas when I was sure the wheels were coming off, but here we are, and its still intact!!

Vera, I'm convinced that if you posted your weekly shopping list it would be a great read. I wonder if Marianne & Jim (may I call them by their first names?) are aware that their imminent arrival is the subject of this worldwide discussion! (gotta love the web..)

I feel for you Vera, I really do. Been down this same road a time or two myself. Just a couple of suggestions. Upon their arrival, you need to establish that you have a "bug" thats been going around. That will give you unlimited access to the bathroom, where you will have strategically hidden a beverage, or beverages of your choice, along with necessary mixers and ice.(this also applies to any place you can be alone without raising too much suspicion!) Don't forget reading material (hey the bathroom is the only place I can get any reading done anyway!) and possibly a laptop-that way you can provide us with on-the-spot updates! I know I'm not the only one who's been looking forward to this!!

And while its likely too late to help for this trip, keep in mind that there are some wonderful on-line pharmacies from India who are happy to provide you with just about any "mood elevator" you can imagine-without the hassle or expense of a prescription!

Keep us posted VB!
