So sad: Ed Bradley has passed

I had no idea that he was ill. He passed away today from leukemia.

Saw that today on the Internet too, amber. Always kind of liked him. I had no idea he had lukemia.

I always looked up to him and his style of reporting. I think (may be wrong) but a couple of nights ago, I think I heard that David Brinkley (father of Christie and a d*mn fine reporter in his own right) passed away too. I grew up watching both of these fine men on the news; makes me sad that they are gone now.

It seem's to me that Ed Bradley was quite an expert on wine, and even had a show about wine on the Fine Living channel.
Does anyone remember that? Or am I dreaming?

Constance, I do think you are right about that!! Seems to me that it was more like a special short run edition but I remember seeing something like that.

Okay, David Brinkley died more than 2 years ago (yes, I went and googled....finally) but there was something on the news about him that I only caught the very end of. Sorry for being a dunce again!!

Yes, Brinkley died in 2003 and as licia said, Christie was not his daughter.
