Freezable frosting for a cake

I am making a birthday cake for a small party. Most of the cake will go uneaten, and I know the birthday girl will want to freeze the leftovers. The cake recipe says the cake can be frozen--so now ISO a freezable chocolate frosting for it.

Chocolate ganache can be frozen.

So can butter icing

I have frozen buttercream frosting many of times with great success
Just thaw it out and then I use mixer to fluff it up comes out great

Thank you all for your advice. Ganache or buttercream are my TNT options now.
