I think it sounds wonderful, depending on your balsamic. I have a few different ages and they go from vinegar to very thick and sweet. I'd go with the steamed asparagus, personally.

And now I want steak for dinner! Making mental note of who has the good secrets on this site too!!!
 
Jeekinz recipe came out delicious. I reduced the sauce down too much, but I'll perfect it for the next time!
