A New Year Newbie

Hi everyone. I have to say I am thrilled to find this forum.

I've been cooking since I was very young when I had to pull up a stool next to my mom. I learned everything I know from Mom and both my grandmothers and all those skills were taught to my son as he grew up from a toddler to the wonderful cook he is today.

Since my recent accident, I have extra time to put into my favorite hobbies like cooking and writing. I hope to learn some new things here.

Nancya aka BeadCatz

For the last 2 years, I've taken an interest in bread baking. I love finding new recipes then tweaking them until I have something I love.

My next adventure is delving into Scottish dishes which I hope to start posting to my ancestry website.

Sounds great. One of our members bakes all of her own bread products! I have good intentions, but don't always get it done

Welcome to DC, Nancy. I don't do much baking. Just bagels, pizza and dinner rolls mostly.

Bagels was the first bread I started experimenting with. Still working at perfecting my cinnamon bagels.
